Escuchando Elefantes are two voices that have come to sound as one. The dynamics and strength they convey to the audience with their songs is due to their passion for busking. The streets are the place where they have been brought up as musicians. They have travelled around Europe playing their music, getting to share experiences with musicians such as Academy Award winners Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, Paddy Casey, Damien Rice, Bono (U2), Lisa Hannigan, Hozier, Kodaline and Sinnéad O'Connor, among others. In 2012, they publish their debut album, produced by themselves, with great audience reception and excellent media impact. During this first year, they have played "Show & Tell" in a great number of European cities and festivals.
In 2014 after recording in Spain, Ireland, USA and UK, they publish their second studio album "Hapy Lonely People" in a crowded Teatro Colón. They get plenty of nominations and awards.
At the end of 2016 Sílvia and Carlos changed the concept of the band and they both start interchanging instruments. Now both play drums and guitars, achieving a more energic and electric sound. In the same year, they start recording their last album, "Hope" launched in march, 2017.
There'll Be Joy (Music Video)
“It's wonderful that a band that was created so spontaneously can be one of the best Spanish bands, if not the best.”
“Perfect combination of voices
and melodies. (...) An extraordinary job”
“Show & Tell should be considered among the best albums in our country. One of the mostpowerful reasons that support this statement is that the album matches up, not only with great musicians worldwide, but also gets close to the place we keep for the legends. This is made with the respect and humility of those who trust in the power of sensitivity.”
“You may probably have been surprised one day by a couple of young musicians singing very well, with a music style that reminds you of the best folk-rock bands”
"Escuchando Elefantes is a band that you should know and listen to. Carlos and Silvia's talent has been all around the world thanks to their voices and their incredibly beautiful songs"
Their music is the result of a perfect combination of pasion, hard work, talent...
Both talents combined sound extraordinary: Two powerful voices joined together providing the harmony that explains why they are one of the folk promises in our country.
Going to an Escuchando Elefantes performance is different from any other. They connect with the audience from the very first moment. It's a fresh, close and sometimes improvised proposal tjhat makes you feel like you are in a unique concert.
